North Lake Lida - South Lake Lida - Venstrom
Lake
Lida is located in westcentral Minnesota in otter tail county
just five miles east of Pelican Rapids, MN and is actually a
series of three lakes; North Lida, South Lida, and Ventstrom.
These three lakes together total nearly 6500 acres. |
North
Lida Lake, the largest of the three, is located is
located south of Otter Tail County Highway 4 and north of State
Highway 108. North Lida is connected to South Lida by a navigable
culvert under Highway 108 and is also connected to Lizzie Lake
by an unnavigable culvert under County Road 4. There is also
a public access to the lake off of this road.
South Lake Lida is located North of County
Highway 3 and South of State Highway 108. It is connected to
North as mentioned above as well as to Venstrom Lake by small
chanel (navigable only by small water craft). Almost the entire
east side of the lake boarders Maplewood
State Park.
Venstrom, by far the smallest of the three
lakes is only accessable from South Lida. It is frequented by
paddleboats and canoes.
